I have a site set up as private for posting and public for viewing. The Mingle forum is set up so Subscriber can create topics and comments with moderation required, and I have two moderators assigned. But it appears that users with Subscriber roles are being listed as Administrator in the Mingle ID sidebar. I have with a couple of new test users with Subscriber role and they are able to create topics and post comments without any moderation. Any ideas why this is happening? - Thanks :(

I have this problem too. I see this as a recurring theme with many people, but I cannot find an answer anywhere.

It seems that in my case the problem is a conflict with the user role editor plugin. You can make it work, but users can only be added to a role that has not been changed. I have to reset the default settings for the role each time I add new users. (Of course this means that users cannot be required to register.) Users who are added to a role that has been changed through the role editor will be treated as administrators in the forum. Also, if you change an individual user's capabilities, that user will be treated as admin in the forum.
