Hot topicMultiple forums on same page HELP!!!

Any plugin that uses Shortcodes such as [mingleforum] is prone to this problem. And unfortunately it cannot be fixed from our end.

The main cause of this error is other plugins echoing shortcode content when using them rather than parsing them for their own needs.

Some plugins to watch out for are things like facebook sharing, SEO, or other content filtering plugins.

Unfortunately yes, unless the author of that plugin wants to try and fix it.

Can you not embed the forum on a page without using the shortcode? i'm thinking it must be poossible to add some of the code that the shortcode is calling, directly into the page.php, instead of writing [mingleforum] on the page through wp. If this is possible i'd really like to know how.

Same problem I was having until I figured out that the "Ultimate Facebook" plugin I had activated was the culprit. Sucks because that plugin worked really well for me but now I have to find alternatives, if thats even possible.

Hot topicRe: Multiple forums on same page HELP!!!

So I don't have the Facebook Connect plugins of any kind on my website. The only plugins that I have active that actually use the SHORTCODES method of embedding is the Cartpauj PM & Forums plugin, as well as a "Contact Us Form" plugin. I have disabled ALL of these (except for the forums plugin) and I'm STILL getting duplicate forums showing. So I decided to go one step further, and disabled every other plugin except for the Cartpauj forums plugin. STILL showing up multiple times on the page.

So it appears that if this plugin is getting interference from a shortcodes-using plugin.. it's actually interfering with ITSELF. I really need to get this corrected, as it is adding MASSIVE amounts of confusion to our forum layouts and generally aggravating our users. Is there a way to put the forums into a page WITHOUT using shortcodes (i.e. "longcodes" I guess?). HELP?

Maybe the problem is with some themes?

Sure enough (posted this in another thread) the theme I was using had slipped in an SEO setting about 3 or 4 weeks ago without me noticing. Tracked it down, turned it off.. and ALL of my issues have suddenly disappeared.

Just letting people know that the 'Add link to Facebook' plugin is echoing the [mingleforum] short code so maybe this will resolve someones problem.

When I upgraded Add links to facebook from 1.143 to 1.149 I got this problem with the forum being duplicated! But is there anyway to downgrade back to version 1.143 with out losing all the likes and comments?
