Normal topicHiding forum from public

Hi,

Just implemented Mingle in WP, but since WP is a public place I want Mingle to be hidden until people are logged in.
I've created a new page named Forum and put [mingleforum] in it.
In menus I've created a new menu item witch points to the created page Forum. This menu item I marked private.
So this is displayed in the upper menu.

When visiting the site as a 'normal' Internet user and clicking on the menu item Forum I get a 404 error that says the page could not be found.
That's not a nice way of telling people to login to display the Forum. I'm wondering if there is an option in Mingle to display first a login form to users before showing anything of the Forum.

Any suggestions?

Regards, Ronald

This is just one of many examples, but I would look into something like: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/pagerestrict/
