Google adsense ad not showing

I've searched the forum but found no solution to why adsense is not showing in any of the ad areas. Isn't it just a matter of copy-and-pasting the adsense code, very much like the way you entered and styled the text in the video tutorial? Other than this, I've had no problem with Mingle Forum and really like it a lot. Thanks.

Try entering just some random text in the ad boxes and see if that will show up. Also make sure you check the "enable" check boxes above the input textareas.

I did try entering random text earlier and it showed up and the check boxes were enabled. I forgot to mention that the top and bottom spaces widened where the ads were supposed to appear - however the ads themselves were a no show. Below is one adsense script. Thanks...

I copied and pasted your ad code into one of my test sites and the ad showed up fine. My guess is that it's a javascript conflict with another plugin that is causing your problem. The only way to tell unfortunately is to temporarily disable all other plugins. Then see if the ad show up, if so then re-enable them one-by-one until you find the culprit.

I think MF is NOT the problem! The ads didn't show up even after I disabled all other plugins. Copy-and-pasting the adsense code outside of MF didn't work either - I didn't think to do this earlier because I've pasted Adsense code on so many other WP pages before. I'm trying out MF on a testsite before using it on my other sites. I'm using Headway Themes in all of my sites and I've never had a problem with Adsense in any of them. The only one difference between this test site (with MF installed)and the others is it's running on the latest WP (v 3.2.1). I'll poke around my present installation to figure out what's going on. And I'll run the issue by the Headway folks as well - they're another nice bunch of techies. If you have another bright idea, I'd appreciate hearing it yet again. Thanks for your kind help, very prompt replies and patience. This is one of the best support forums I've ever joined. MF is the first forum plugin I've used and the experience has been pleasant and hassle-free (until now, and in the end, it isn't even a MF issue!). You have developed a great product and I hope you keep working on it. More Power!

Hi! I think Headway Tech Support gave me the correct answer:

"There's no real content on that page (there's 3 lines). (YET! - my comment)

As Google says, 'If no targeted ads are available for your page, Google will show a transparent space instead of ads.'"

So, it's indeed not an MF issue but mine. It's much like MF's "Search" function - won't work as intended until there's enough content to search! Didn't realize until today that Adsense worked in the same way. Consider the matter closed. THANKS once again for your ATTENTION!

I have tried to put Adsense code in the ad spaces and it does not work. It has nothing to do with any of my plugins, as I have tried it after disabling them. It also has nothing to do with Adsense not having an ad to serve, because I set the code up to show a blue space if their was not ad. I see neither the blue space or the ad.

It would be nice if we could get this to work with Adsense code.

I am having the same troubles with ads not showing up. What I am finding to be my problems is when I copy and paste the google adsense code into one of the ad slots and place and check mark in the box to enable that slot and click save, after saving it removes the javascript call from the code and only leaves:

To test things out to find out if it might be a different plug-in causing the problems, I place the adsense code in the forum page above the "mingleforum shortcode" and everything worked that way, but not when trying to use any of the ad slots within the forums.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I'm guessing everyone who is having problems with the adsense code has upgraded to wordpress Version 3.3.1 because i'm having the same problem after upgrading, but my test site is still fine which i haven't upgraded.

I have the same problem. I also installed the latest version of WP. Does not display Adsense and no amazon links. The code appears to the store without javascript.

Hello ,

I'm using Mingle forum for my website http://www.indiandrummer.com.

I'm getting problem while putting ads on forum. As soon i update the code in Ads area through Admin panel . It auto removing the Java script & taking it as para , by using firebug it auto adding <p> tag with ad & completely removing the JS on updating.

Please share your views , how to solve this bug.
