Message Options dont work

I just installed and set up the board on my site,
however the message options at the top (such as Bold, You Tube, Similes, etc.) are not showing up in two nice lines as they are here, instead they are showing up in a single line (one image/option per line) two screen-lengths down and then the text area is below that. How do I fix that? It makes the pages way too long and looks terrible. And none of options works, no color, nothing.

Can anybody help me, please?
