Badges!?

Hey I was just thinking it'd be cool to jump on the latest trend of badges for different accomplishments (like fourqsuare, funnyordie and a bunch of sites do)...

Similar to 'user level' but with more variety of accomplishments and unique badges that would appear on their profile.

For starters the accomplishments I had in mind were things like:
• Early Adopter (user signed up at X date or before)
• Trend Setter (user creates a thread that has been replied to X times)
• Blogger (user has also posted on the main site/front page)
• Twitter Love (user has tweeted site URL X times)
• Facebook Buddy (user is connected to fanpage)
• Socialite (user has replied to X # of threads)

And so on, I realize that amount of variation that people might want, might make this harder to engineer but I think the benefits of such a feature would increase both forum usage and promotion.
