Hi guys and gals,

Bit of a random place to ask, but someone is usually willing to give some advice here.

One of my new blogs recently started getting around 10 000 hits per month and is very resource intensive. So basically JustHost is threatening to kick me off and I'm looking for a way to relieve the pressure off my own hosting account. I was looking at CD Networks and stumbled upon the Free CDN WordPress Plugin : http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/free-cdn/

Haven't used it before and would love to get some feedback on it before I give it a try.

I've never used it either but I can imagine that it would open the door for a lot of headaches. 10,000 hits/month isn't that bad...you should move hosts if that's an issue for your current host. I get almost that many hits per day and I'm on Webhostingpad's cheap shared hosting plan still. You can see my site stats here: http://www.hypestat.com/cartpauj.com

i was just thinking about using a cdn due to how media intensive my site is and it's only three months old so I'll probably have to upgrade my hosting again in a few months anyway. But yeah if I can't get that to work I'm going to have to move hosts. Wpwebhost looks good, but I'll also check webhostingpad and a few other ones.

That makes two of us :D -- I've used the Infolinks (blue ad links on my site) to generate enough money to more than cover my hosting costs though.

I also used infolinks a while back, and I've been thinking about putting up a related tags section as you have. Adsense is giving me next to nothing so hopefully infolinks will do better. What's their minimum payout?

I think you get to set the payout amount with infolinks. Can't remember if they set a min or not, if so it's probably around $10.

Thanks for all the info. I'm busy checking all of it out. I thought I would share some of what I've done to decrease CPU usage and increase load times.. and I have quick question.

By using these tools below I've managed to decrease the load time on my busiest site from 5 secs after making other changes to 0.62 seconds with the latest changes. The server might also be doing better because that is a massive decrease.

1. Used all the recommended settings on Wp Super Cache.
2. Installed and Activated Use Google Libraries plugin.
3. Installed and Activated WP minify.
4. Also trying out smush.it.

Now my question:
The above mentioned plugins do have some drawbacks, which the first is the Mingle PM not being able to reply. I'm guessing it has something to do with WP Minify and I would have to exclude certain java files being minified? It's also doing the same with GD star rating. Any suggestions?
